Terminology

• RFID

  Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology that uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects through its EPC.

  RFID tags contain electronically stored information that can be read from several meters away.

• EPC

  The Electronic Product Code (EPC) is a universal identifier scheme for uniquely identifying objects

• UHF RFID

  UHF RFID operates between 300 MHz and 3 GHz. It offers longer read ranges RFID.
